A good first step towards open world Sonic. Sonic Frontiers is the latest single-player entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog series available on all major platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, the platform I played on. Everyone's favorite blue hedgehog is speeding through an open world, sort of. After playing for over nine hours, I wanted to share my thoughts.

A wonderful story with no words, and simple gameplay. Florence is a short visual novel that I’d heard about a few times as being a great example of how to tell a narrative without relying on blocks of text. So, when it went on sale on the Nintendo eShop I thought I would give it a try, but life happens, and it ended up on my backlog of games. So now after a couple of months of collecting dust in my digital game library, I finally set some time aside to play through it, and this is what I thought.
My Problem:To be honest with you I have bought a decent amount of games in my life, nothing crazy, like I don’t have a room full of floor-to-ceiling shelves stuffed to the brim with game cases and cartridges with more piled on the floor up to my head, but I have purchased my fair share of games. The problem I found is that the number of games I have purchased, although not too extreme, far exceeds the number of games that I have actually completed. I’m not even talking about collecting every item and completing every side quest, if that were the case there would be a much bigger problem, I’m just talking about getting to the end of the main story and seeing the end credits.
